More of Jesus this year: 6 Biblical things you can start TODAY to follow god more wholeheartedly

Important note: this is not a check list to perfection, it’s a lifestyle of following Jesus. So, if you mess up one day, start again the next. His mercies are new every morning.

Friend, it IS the time. 

Whatever your season, whatever last year or season looked like, whatever the guilt or shame or complacency, or if you’re already following Him with your all – let’s dedicate this new season to Jesus:

Following HIM. Running after HIM. Living for HIM. 💛

This is my heart’s prayer and determination. Not a resolution that I expect to keep perfectly and never fail in, but a heart that’s more and more running after the One who’s saved me. That in the midst of all that 2026 may hold for us, that you’ll find me following Jesus more wholeheartedly. 💛

1. Get serious about reading your Bible. It is God’s Word written down for you. His ways, His heart, His plans are written in here. Let’s seek Him and spend time with Him in this way.

2. Get back into or jump more into Christian fellowship.

Go to a mid week Bible study, spend time with friends after church, start hosting a hang with other believers once a month. Let’s get back to true fellowship.

3. Live a life surrender. Both in decisions or plans but also in letting go of pet sins. Let’s be people of radical surrender and obedience.

4. Fall more in love with Jesus. Look back to the ways He’s moved in your life. Dwell on those. Remember afresh why you’re following Him.

5. Pray for leading and oneness with Him. God wants us to be more “in tune” with the Spirit. His sheep hear His voice. Let’s pray for open eyes and open hearts to HIM.

6. Pray for opportunity. God has purpose for you where He has you right now – not believing this will hold you back and make you feel like you can’t move forward in Him because it’s not the time. But it IS the time.

It IS the time to seek Him more.It IS the time to listen for His leading. It IS the time to obey what He’s already called you to. It IS the time to pray for opportunity. It IS the time to follow Jesus completely.
