God’s kindness is meant to lead us to repentance.
God is abundantly loving and overflowing in mercy, but He doesn’t ignore sin. He calls us ultimately to repent of sin and turn to Him and be saved. But even in our Christian walks, He’s calling us to a life of repentance and putting sin to death and walking in the light.
Praise the Lord His mercy and grace and kindness are more than we can imagine and His arms are always open to us. But my prayer is that we recognize – just like with the woman caught in adultery – He won’t cast the stone, He will show mercy, He will meet us where we are, but He doesn’t want to leave us there. He calls us to higher – to go and sin no more and be transformed by Him every day. We will sin, but let our lives be more and more a choosing of obedience and walking step in step with God.
